About Linken Services
Linken Services Ltd is a family-run drainage company with over 20 years' experience within the industry.
We carry out drainage repairs, investigations and associated works for domestic and commercial customers, including work on behalf of major UK insurers.
We have built our reputation by providing reliable workmanship, good customer service and a practical approach to solving drainage problems.
As a family-run business, we want people to feel part of the company rather than just another employee. We value engineers who take pride in their work, communicate well and can be trusted to manage jobs properly from start to finish.
The Role
As a Drainage Engineer, you will work independently on-site carrying out a variety of drainage repairs and remedial works.
The role involves assessing problems, deciding on the best practical solution and completing repairs to a high standard.
Every job can be different, so you will need to be confident dealing with unexpected issues and using your own experience and judgement on-site.
You will also have regular contact with customers, so being professional, approachable and able to clearly explain the work being carried out is an important part of the role.
Although you will often be working independently, you will have support from our office and technical team whenever needed.
Preferred Experience
We are ideally looking for someone with experience in some or all of the following:
- CCTV drainage surveys, including recording and correctly labelling footage
- Using CAT and Genny equipment to locate buried services
- Tracing and locating drainage systems using a sonde
- High-pressure water jetting
- Open-cut drainage repairs and pipework replacement
- Excavations up to approximately 2 metres deep
- Knowledge of safe excavation and trench-support methods
- Patch lining using packer systems
- Drain relining and other no-dig repair methods
- Drainage fault finding and diagnosis
- Reinstatement of domestic surfaces including:
- Paving slabs
- Block paving
- Concrete
- Tarmac
- Gravel and similar finishes
The Person We're Looking For
You would suit this role if you:
- Have previous drainage repair experience
- Are confident working independently
- Take pride in producing good-quality work
- Can think practically and solve problems on-site
- Are reliable, organised and self-motivated
- Communicate well with customers
- Look after company vehicles, tools and equipment
- Take responsibility for jobs from arrival through to completion
- Are looking for a stable, long-term position within a family-run company
What We Need From You
- A full UK driving licence
- Relevant drainage experience and practical competency
- Ability to pass a basic DBS check
- Ability to complete a driving licence check
- A professional and customer-focused approach

Successful applicants will initially be contacted for a telephone interview.
