Position: Production Operative (Factory Worker)
Location: Wombwell, Barnsley S73 0BB
Pay Rates:
£12.94 per hour for shifts between 06:00 and 22:00
£13.74 per hour for shifts between 22:00 and 06:00
Shift Patterns Available:
AM Shifts 05:30 - 13:30, 06:00 - 14:00, 07:00 - 15:00, 06:00 - 18:00
PM Shifts 13:30 - 21:30, 14:00 - 22:00
Night Shifts 18:00 - 06:00, 19:00 - 05:00, 20:00 - 06:00

Major Recruitment is recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of a leading food manufacturer in Wombwell. This is a great opportunity to join a busy factory producing chilled egg products. We have a variety of shifts available, so you can choose the pattern that suits you.
The Role:
As a Production Operative, you will be part of a team producing high-quality chilled egg products. You will help keep the production line running efficiently while following food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
Your Duties:
- Work on a fast-paced production line
- Pack finished products into boxes
- Follow production procedures and work instructions
- Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards
- Keep your work area clean and tidy
- Complete production paperwork accurately
- Report any issues to your Supervisor or Shift Manager
- Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Work closely with other team members and departments
- Help reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Carry out other production duties when required
What We're Looking For:
- Hardworking, reliable and flexible
- Good attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions
- Good manual dexterity
- Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Previous food production experience is helpful but not essential
- Food Safety Level 2 is an advantage
- Good understanding of Health & Safety
