Purpose of the Role- Bistro Assistant
The Bistro Assistant is responsible for providing a welcoming, professional, and high-quality dining experience for residents, their families, visitors, and guests within the Home's Bistro.
The post holder will support the efficient day-to-day operation of the Bistro by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness, and contributing to a pleasant social environment that enhances residents' wellbeing and quality of life.

The Bistro Assistant will:
1.Uphold the Company's Mission Statement, Values, and Residents' Charter of Rights at all times.
2.Promote a warm, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
3.Ensure high standards of food service, presentation, cleanliness, and customer care.
4.Support residents in a dignified and respectful manner, recognising their individual needs and preferences.
5.Follow all food safety, infection prevention and control, health and safety, and Company policies and procedures.
6.Act as a positive ambassador for The Close - Eleanor Healthcare Group at all times.
Customer Service and Hospitality
1. Welcome residents, relatives, visitors, and customers to the Bistro in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Assist residents with menu choices and provide information regarding ingredients, and dietary requirements where appropriate.
3. Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
4. Record residents' food and fluid intake where required and report any concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
5. Serve food and beverages in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner.
6. Build positive relationships with residents and visitors, always ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
7. Respond professionally to residents and visitors’ enquiries, requests, and feedback, escalating concerns when necessary to Management.
