Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the head chef
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
- Support with the organisation and restocking of supplies in the kitchen area
- Help with waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
- Support chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Maintain health and safety standards by adhering to hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist with general cleaning duties within the kitchen
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by working collaboratively with colleagues
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary processes is desirable
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards is beneficial
