Pub Cook / Chef – The Stags Head Inn, Near South Molton

The Stags Head Inn is under new ownership, and we're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook/Chef to join our friendly team and help shape the future of our food offering.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a kitchen and wants the freedom to bring their own ideas, specials and creativity to the menu.
About the Role
You will be responsible for running a busy pub kitchen service, producing quality home-cooked food and managing service efficiently during our peak periods.
Our typical lunch and dinner services operate within a concentrated 2-hour service window, serving approximately 40–60 covers, so you'll need to be organised, calm under pressure and confident running the pass during busy periods.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a pub cook or chef
- Ability to confidently run the kitchen during service
- Experience managing the pass and coordinating food service
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Commitment to food quality and presentation
- Excellent food hygiene standards
- Good references essential
- A positive attitude and team-focused approach
