Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver (Temp to Permanent)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a well-established and recognised employer in Birmingham. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity offering genuine long-term prospects for the right candidate.
We have two start times available for this role – 7:00 AM or 11:00 AM – so you can choose the shift that suits you best. We need drivers who are available to start immediately or on very short notice.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing multi-drop deliveries and collections to retail locations
- Handballing – handling both palletised goods and cages (manual loading/unloading required)
- Ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
- Maintaining clear communication with the transport office
- Delivering excellent customer service on site
- Operating vehicles safely and legally, completing all documentation accurately
Pay Rates
- Basic Rate: £15.79 per hour
- Overtime (Weekdays & Saturdays): £23.68 per hour
- Overtime (Sundays & Bank Holidays): £31.58 per hour

Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 (Category C) entitlement
- Valid Driver Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles is essential
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No endorsements for DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC, or TT99
