Role: Registered Nursing Home Manager
Salary: 40K per annum
Hours of Work: Full time/40 hours per week
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Nursing Home Manager, to join our established nursing home in Stourbridge.
Hollycroft Nursing Home based in Stourbridge is seeking to appoint a new Registered Manager due to the retirement of the current post holder.
Hollycroft Nursing Home currently provides care for 20 long term elderly frail residents and 16 step-down (rehabilitation) beds. NHS Professionals work on site and there is also a well-established and developed nursing and care team.
The home is fully digitally mature and has a DSCR in situ, electronic medication system, staff rostering, policies and procedures and payroll. HR is supported both internally and by an external consultancy.
The home is supported by weekly visits from the Area Manager and Compliance Lead.
You will hold a Registered General Nurse / Mental Health Nurse qualification and be seasoned manager with experience in managing a demanding and fast paced environment. You will be able to evidence service development and an ability to manage budgets and incept change while ensuring that the service meets its statutory obligations.

The role involves…
· Maintaining occupancy levels
· Building relationships with local authorities
· Ensuring the home is marketed positively in the community
· Maintaining clear and accurate medication records
· Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
· Provide effective leadership.
The ideal candidate
· Has experience of overseeing a nursing home of a similar size for residents with short stay and long-term care needs and complex dementia / behavioural needs.
· Has experience of being a Registered Manager at a home performing to a good standard with a sound understanding of CQC compliance and regulations/standards pertinent to the Care Home industry.
· Works well under pressure and can meet targets occupancy levels
· Will be a natural leader with compassion and excellent communication skills
· Experience of motivating and leading large staff teams
· An ability to work closely with the nursing and care teams to produce the best outcomes of care and nursing for residents
The candidate must:
· Demonstrate a positive “can do” mind-set
· Have demonstrable knowledge of complex dementia care and positive behavioural support.
· Be experienced in inclusivity for relatives and advocates of residents
· Have the right to work in the UK
· Have a clear DBS
· Qualified RGN / RMN and currently registered with NMC
