Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Mix and match paint colors accurately to achieve the desired shade and consistency
- Operate spray guns, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently to apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-ups
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Perform heavy lifting when handling large vehicle parts or equipment to facilitate efficient workflow
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the painting process to identify imperfections or inconsistencies
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive painting equipment and techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and masking devices
- Experience using power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or materials
