Complex Needs Support Worker – Children and Young People

We are looking for a Complex Needs Support Worker to join our dedicated team supporting children and young people in the community who have complex mental health needs, autism, or a learning disability.

About the Role
You will be working in the community supporting children and young people who may present with:
- Complex mental health needs
- Autism spectrum condition
- Learning disabilities
- Emotional dysregulation
- Trauma history
- Anxiety or depression
- Behaviours of distress
Your role is to provide safe, structured, and therapeutic support that promotes stability, confidence, and independence.

What You Will Be Doing
- Building safe, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Supporting emotional regulation using grounding and distraction techniques
- Using trauma informed and Positive Behaviour Support approaches
- Supporting access to community activities, education, and appointments
- Promoting life skills and independence appropriate to age and ability
- Recognising triggers and early signs of distress
- Implementing structured support plans
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to risk management plans
- Working collaboratively with families and professionals
You will not be working alone. You will be part of a clinically supported and well structured team.

- Have experience working with children or young people preferred but not essential
- Have experience in mental health, autism, or learning disability
- Are calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 37.0 per week

Experience:
- SUPPORT WOKER: 1 year (preferred)
