Female Support Worker / Personal Assistant for Autistic Adult
(Females only need apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010)
- Rate of Pay: £16.00 per hour, pay award pending
- Location: Dundee
- Hours: The role is for 2 days per week (Monday and Wednesday) with the potential for a third day (Tuesday). Hours are from 9am to 5pm.
We are looking to recruit a female personal carer/support worker to support a 24-year-old woman within a family home to enable her to socialise, exercise and maintain her routines and who will accompany her to community activities. Some housework will also be included.
We are looking for someone who:
· Is punctual and dependable
· Understands confidentiality
· Can adapt their communication style to accommodate needs
A full, clean driving licence is essential. Two references will be required. The postholder should be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or be willing to join.

The Self-directed Support Service exists to support people to employ their own Personal Assistants and/or purchase services using direct payments. As an organisation we are not the employer but assist people to look for staff if they need them. If you are employed, your contract will be with the person in receipt of the direct payment and not with Dundee Carers Centre or the Self-directed Support Service.
