We are seeking a Project Manager (M&E) to lead the tactical development and delivery of capital projects and Minor Works (MAC), ensuring a consistently high standard of project delivery that supports business growth and strengthens our position within the project market.
Job Description
We are looking for a commercially focused project professional with experience in construction, engineering, or the built environment, capable of managing project delivery from inception through to completion while overseeing resources, compliance, risk, governance, and supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage capital projects and MAC works from cradle to grave, ensuring successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead the tactical development and delivery of multiple projects and programmes.
- Support the organic growth of project opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, key accounts, operational teams, and external customers.
- Maintain P&L accountability aligned to business objectives.
- Develop delivery models and manage project resources effectively.
- Ensure robust commercial governance, compliance, and risk management across all projects.
- Manage supply chain partners and implement best practice processes and procedures to maintain high service standards.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience operating at Project Manager level within the building projects and facilities management industry, preferably within petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or R&D controlled environments.
- Expertise in a construction, engineering, or built environment discipline.
- Experience managing multiple projects or programmes valued between £500k and £1m+, and above.
- Ideally educated to HNC level or equivalent in a technical or management discipline.
- Experience working with RIBA stages.
- Knowledge and experience of CDM regulations.
- Demonstrable experience managing Health & Safety compliance.
- Experience estimating project costs and presenting high-quality tender documentation to customers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Recognised Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, APMP, PMP, or equivalent.
- IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS qualification (essential).
- NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
- Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS and CTC security clearance.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.
