Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to support our kitchen operations. This role is essential to the smooth running of our food service, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment and assisting chefs with basic food preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of food under the guidance of the chef
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and surfaces
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Help with the unloading and storage of deliveries
- Follow hygiene and safety procedures at all times
- Support the team during busy service periods, including club events and functions
- Perform other reasonable duties as required to support kitchen operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and events
