Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. The role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in home care settings. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting individuals with their care plans to ensure personalised and effective care
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administering medication as directed by healthcare professionals (training provided)
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Supporting clients with light domestic tasks to promote independence
- Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Driving between different locations for home care visits (where applicable)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting home visits
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and updating care plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
