Mid Hampshire Healthcare (MHH) is looking for a friendly, organised, and patient-focused Receptionist to join our Enhanced Access Service.
This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of primary care services across Hampshire, helping patients access appointments outside of normal GP surgery opening hours. Working from our Alresford Surgery Enhanced Access Hub, you will play an important role in ensuring patients receive a professional, welcoming, and efficient service.
Whether you already have experience working in a GP practice or healthcare environment, or have strong customer service and administrative skills, we would love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll support the day-to-day delivery of the Enhanced Access Service by: -
· Welcoming patients attending appointments and providing a professional first point of contact.
· Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments as required.
· Checking patients in for appointments and assisting with patient queries.
· Managing telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately.
· Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks where required.
· Using EMIS and other clinical systems to support service delivery.
· Ensuring patient records and information are handled confidentially and in accordance with data protection requirements.
· Supporting the smooth running of the clinic environment.
· Working collaboratively with clinicians, GP practices, and the wider Operations Team.

· Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
· A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
· Reliable and able to work independently.
· Comfortable working within a busy healthcare environment.
Essential Requirements
· Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Good IT literacy and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
· Previous experience working within a GP Practice, NHS, or healthcare setting.
· Experience using EMIS Web.

Hours
Alternate Saturdays, 09:00 – 13:00.

This role is based at our Enhanced Access Hub located at Alresford Surgery, Hampshire.
