Job Title: HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver
Location: Dollymans Farm, Wickford, Lemon Steel
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (The salary range reflects the average annual earnings, which includes the potential for bonuses and overtime, along with the current basic hourly rate of £15.80ph).

Working pattern: 45 hours plus overtime when available

We are looking for the right individual who will thrive in a customer driven, future focused, proactive and friendly environment to join our team in the role of HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver, based out of our Wickford depot. You are required to hold a Class 2 driving licence with at least 3 years’ experience of driving and operating a Hiab, with valid Hiab licence.
The role of our Hiab Driver is incredibly varied, and the successful candidate will be asked to travel between different customer sites and our depot. Therefore, the ability to be flexible and adapt will need to be demonstrated; no two shifts are likely to be the same.
In addition, you will work alongside the production team to meet company deadlines. A good ability to communicate and have a positive attitude is therefore essential. You will be expected to assist with loading and may have to work long hours.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliveries to sites in the home counties, with the occasional delivery further afield.
- Liaison with our customers on arrival to delivery address.
- Complete all delivery paperwork accurately.
- Have a Digital Tachograph and CPC Card
- Minimum 3 years’ experience driving
- Some manual labour will be required, including lifting and handling.
- Working to deadlines and as part of a team.
- Following and being aware of Health and Safety procedures applicable to the industry.
- Wearing of PPE and understanding the importance of its protection.
INDIVIDUAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Driving a Goods Vehicle: 3 years experience (required)
- 3 years Hiab experience (required)
- Driver CPC (required)
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to be reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking, driven and self-motivated.
- Experience of working in a team environment and on their own.
- Good communication skills to build working relationships and understand instructions.
- Ability to adapt and learn new ways of working.
- Attend training where necessary.
- Good attention to details and accuracy skills.
