Maddie's is an independent matcha and coffee cafe based in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. We're all about calm rituals, quality drinks and a warm welcome, from our ceremonial grade matcha to our carefully crafted coffee. The Role
We're on the hunt for confident, customer-focused team members to join us on a zero hours basis. Whether you're after a few shifts a week or something more flexible around other commitments, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll be the face of Maddie's, making our customers feel looked after from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave with their drink in hand.
What You'll Be Doing
- Making and serving coffee, matcha and other drinks to a high standard
- Taking orders and working the till
- Keeping the cafe clean, tidy and welcoming throughout the day
- Preparing and serving food and pastries
- Restocking and helping with deliveries
- Working as part of a small, close-knit team during busy periods
What We're Looking For
- Previous cafe, hospitality or barista experience is ideal, but not essential if you're keen to learn
- Confident and friendly with great customer service skills
- A quick learner who can pick up new tasks and drinks recipes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak times
- Reliable, punctual and a good team player
- Able to stay calm and organised when it's busy
- Flexible availability, including weekends
