Summary
PART TIME SITE SUPERVISOR
30 hours per week 6:30am 9:30am and 3pm 6pm (Grade 5)
We are seeking a reliable School Site Supervisor to join our friendly and welcoming school.
Together with some cleaning duties, the role includes aspects of site management, including health and safety, security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance, refurbishment and minor repairs.
Other responsibilities
- Act as a keyholder, carrying out security procedures for the buildings and grounds.
- Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, painting, basic electrical work)
- Ensure the site is clean, safe, and well-presented at all times
- Undertake some cleaning tasks, which include window cleaning, classrooms, corridor and floor buffing
- Monitor and manage heating, lighting, and alarm systems
- Conduct regular health & safety checks, including risk assessments and compliance checks (training can be provided)
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and external agencies when required
- Support school events and activities by setting up rooms and moving equipment
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly
- Flexible approach to working hours when needed
- Ensuring that all areas are free from litter and that drains and gutters are free flowing.

This position is part time, term time only plus 5 weeks, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis. Holidays must be taken during the school holidays

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Caretaking/Site Management (or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 qualification in Caretaking/Site Management (or equivalent)
Essential Experience
- Experience of undertaking a caretaker or site supervisory function
- Experience of working within a school
Desirable Experience
Experience of supervising staff
