We are seeking to recruit be an enthusiastic, motivated and passionate individual to join the Adult Safeguarding Team as an Enhanced Social Work Assistant.
In this role, you will work as part of the team to triage and assess safeguarding concerns received to the Locality Authority and where required undertake relevant enquires in accordance with the S.42 threshold and safeguarding duties under the Care Act 2014.
To fulfil this duty, you will work collaboratively with, individuals, their families and/or advocates and partner agencies to coordinate, gather and assess information. This will involve undertaking visits, attending safeguarding meetings, and formulating risk assessments and safety plans, to promote and ensure the safety of adults at risk.
You will manage a caseload while also contributing to the team’s duty function. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside a commitment to ensuring the voice of the individual is central to all aspects of practice.
We are seeking individuals who are reflective, organised, and committed to continuous professional development.
The successful candidate will be suitably qualified with a NVQ3 in Care or equivalent. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of The Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Data Protection Act and evidence of ability to work to practice guidance/procedure. The role advertised holds an enhanced payment as the role also includes providing emergency and crisis support outside of core hours as part of a formal rota.

The ASYE is intended to be the first stage of continuing professional development for Registered Social Workers. The framework will be closely allied to the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF). You will be therefore, be required to satisfactorily complete the ASYE programme within a 12-month period (or 18 months if part-time).
