London Dental Centre | Old Street, Islington
We are a modern, friendly and fully private dental practice near Old Street, Islington, and we're looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Dental Nurse to join our team.
We're looking for someone who is keen to build a career in dentistry, takes pride in providing excellent patient care and is happy to get involved across both the clinical and front-of-house sides of the practice.
Previous experience working in a dental practice is preferred.
As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you'll work closely with our dentists and wider team while developing your clinical skills and experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting dentists during a range of treatments
- Preparing and turning around treatment rooms
- Decontamination and sterilisation of instruments
- Maintaining high standards of infection control
- Assisting with X-rays and clinical charting
- Monitoring and managing stock levels
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Providing a friendly and reassuring experience for our patients
As we are a small, close-knit team, front-of-house duties may also be required. This can include welcoming patients, answering calls and messages, managing appointments, taking payments and helping with general reception and administrative duties.
What We're Looking For
More than anything, we're looking for the right attitude. You'll need to be:
- Friendly, confident and professional with patients
- Reliable, organised and punctual
- A strong communicator
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Willing to learn and develop
- A genuine team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Flexible with your working days and hours
- Comfortable supporting both clinical and front-of-house duties when needed
Hours & Availability
The position will initially be 3 days per week, with the potential to progress into a full-time position based on performance.
Flexibility throughout the week is essential. Our shifts operate between 9:00am and 7:00pm, and applicants must be available to work Saturdays.
What We Offer
You'll be joining a supportive and friendly team where everyone plays an important role in the patient experience. We're committed to helping our team members develop their skills, grow within their roles and enjoy coming to work.
For the right candidate, there is a genuine opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress from 3 days per week into a full-time role.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience. For us, finding the right person is the priority.
If you're enthusiastic about dentistry, enjoy working with people and want to develop your career within a modern private practice, we'd love to hear from you.
