C.L. Jones is a family run Timber & Builders Merchant and has been a leading name in the construction supply industry for 40+ years. With 8 branches across North Wales, we have established ourselves as a trusted partner for builders, contractors, and DIY enthusiasts in the region.
We are now expanding our team and seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as Trade Counter Assistant at our Llanrwst Branch.
This is a full-time position on a 30-hour minimum contract, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, and alternate Saturday shifts from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
About the role
As a Trade Counter Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our customers with their building material requirements and providing exceptional service. Whether it's offering product advice, processing orders, or managing stock levels, your expertise and enthusiasm will contribute to a seamless customer experience. The ability to communicate effectively in both English and Welsh is desirable within this role.
The successful applicant will have;
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the building and trades industry, with some product and / or sales knowledge would be an advantage
- The ability to communicate effectively in both English and Welsh is desirable
Duties will include;
- Servicing customers over a busy trade counter
- Processing orders and quotations over the counter, phone or email
- Dealing with and resolving any customer queries
- Stock control (ordering stock, booking goods in & goods out, stocktaking)
- Building and maintaining excellent customer relationships to encourage repeat business
