Job title: Mechanical Technician (Fitter) - Shift Work

As a Mechanical Technician, you will help drive our goals by:
• Carrying out mechanical maintenance, installation and repair of plant equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing faults and resolving issues to maintain safe and reliable operations
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspections across site
• Fabricating or modifying components using engineering drawings or reverse engineering techniques
• Maintaining critical systems including pumps, conveyors, valves, furnaces and piping
• Recording maintenance activities and identifying spare parts requirements using SAP
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
• Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training
• Experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing, industrial or heavy engineering environments
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
• Strong focus on health and safety with good communication and teamwork skills

Working Hours:
You will be required to work a 12-hour shift pattern, on day and nights, which includes weekends on a rotation of 5 days on followed by 4 days off in rotation.
