About the Role
Vista Tiles & Surface Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Operations Director to lead project delivery, installation operations, workforce performance, and service quality across our tile and surface solutions business.
In this senior leadership position, you will oversee the successful delivery of commercial and residential surface projects from planning through completion. You will establish operational priorities, manage project resources, monitor financial performance, and ensure that work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard.
You will collaborate with commercial, procurement, sales, design, installation, and senior leadership teams to strengthen operational performance and support sustainable business growth.
This position is ideal for an accomplished construction or building materials professional with extensive leadership experience in project delivery, fit-out, flooring, tiles, interiors, or specialist installation services.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s construction and installation operations strategy
- Oversee multiple commercial and residential surface projects
- Lead project managers, site managers, installation teams, and operational personnel
- Establish project schedules, resource plans, and delivery priorities
- Monitor project budgets, labour costs, materials, margins, and financial performance
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within approved budgets
- Review project risks, delays, quality concerns, and contractual obligations
- Coordinate with commercial and procurement teams on pricing, materials, and supplier performance
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, architects, designers, and industry partners
- Lead operational reviews and present performance updates to senior leadership
- Establish clear operational KPIs and service-quality standards
- Improve project planning, reporting, installation, and quality-control processes
- Support tender reviews, major proposals, and project mobilisation activities
- Oversee contractor selection, workforce capacity, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, building, employment, and company requirements
- Investigate significant operational issues and implement corrective actions
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing operational teams
- Support the company’s long-term expansion and service-development plans
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- Eight or more years of experience in construction operations, project delivery, building materials, specialist contracting, fit-out, or installation services
- Significant experience managing multiple projects, operational budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven experience in a senior construction, project delivery, or operations leadership role
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers, clients, and commercial stakeholders
- Experience in tiles, flooring, surfaces, interiors, building products, or specialist finishes is strongly preferred

Education

- Chartered or relevant professional construction qualifications are advantageous
- Substantial relevant leadership and industry experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications
Pay: £88,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
