We're looking for a Payroll Project Analyst to join our Payroll team and play a key role in supporting payroll projects, system improvements, onboarding activity and process enhancements.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys solving problems, working with data and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver change. You'll help ensure payroll projects are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory, audit and compliance requirements.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of payroll-related projects, including system upgrades, implementations, payroll transfers and onboarding activities.
Assisting with testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and go-live readiness.
Analysing, validating and reconciling payroll data to ensure accuracy.
Investigating variances and supporting issue resolution.
Creating and maintaining project, process and control documentation.
Supporting compliance, audit and governance activities.
Working with colleagues and stakeholders to implement improvements and embed new ways of working.
Providing clear updates, guidance and knowledge sharing across the business.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Experience supporting payroll projects, system changes, testing, onboarding activity and process improvements.
A strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, controls and statutory payroll requirements.
Payroll operations experience, ideally within a complex or high-volume environment.
Experience supporting testing activities, including preparing test scenarios and recording outcomes.
Strong analytical skills, including data validation, reconciliation and problem-solving.
Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation and compliance.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data.
The ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
It would be beneficial if you have:
A CIPP qualification or equivalent payroll qualification or a foundation-level project management qualification, such as PRINCE2.
Experience supporting payroll system implementations, migrations or transformation projects.
Experience of onboarding activity and payroll impacts.
Experience of process automation, reporting, dashboards or management information.
Experience supporting audit, controls testing or compliance reporting.
