Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to provide support and companionship to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care, ensuring residents' safety, and maintaining a peaceful environment. This role is essential in supporting residents' well-being and ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
Duties
- Monitor residents’ conditions ensuring their safety and comfort
- Assist with personal care tasks as required, respecting residents’ dignity and privacy
- Respond promptly to call bells or emergencies, providing appropriate assistance
- Document any incidents or changes in residents’ health in accordance with care plans
- Support residents with mobility or repositioning needs during the night
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members and family members regarding residents’ wellbeing
- Assist with light domestic duties such as tidying communal areas when appropriate
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting residents outside the care home if needed
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow care plans accurately
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently particularly during night shifts while maintaining professional standards

Pay: £13.25-£14.00 per hour
