Wallis & Son Ltd is an established family run business which has been specialising in the motor trade since 1937. The fourth generation of the family now leads a dependable team at their site in the picturesque village of Barton just on the outskirts of Cambridge.
Our forecourt shop is unique in the fact that in addition to stocking everyday items we also specialise in American confectionery, snacks, breakfast items and baking goods. The shop also offers hot food to go and a coffee station with the introduction of a Pet Shop, Cook and Fieldfare!
We are looking for someone to join our established team, the shifts available are:
Monday - 2pm to 8pm
Friday - 12pm to 8pm
Sunday - 10am to 6pm
Additional shifts are available to cover holiday as overtime.
Please note you must be over 18 years of age.
The hourly rate is £13.50 per hour Monday to Friday and £14.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday's.
You will be entitled to 22 days holiday pro rata per annum plus bank holidays plus your birthday.
The role will include:
Restocking of shelves
Rotation of stock
Handling daily deliveries
Cooking Hot Food
Maintaining Food To Go Machines
Ensuring the shop floor is kept clean and tidy.
Full training will be given but previous experience of working in a retail environment is essential.

- Customer service skills and a friendly approach.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to interact well with customers and colleagues.
- Numeracy skills for handling cash, card payments and till operations.
- Organisational and time-management skills to juggle tasks efficiently.
- Reliability and honesty with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends..
Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
