Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Safety/Rescue Boat Operative to join our team. This vital role involves ensuring the safety of personnel and visitors around water, operating rescue boats efficiently, and responding swiftly to emergencies.
Duties
- Operate rescue boats in accordance with safety protocols during site specific tasks and emergencies.
- Establish a rescue plan and a safe system of work.
- Conduct daily checks of rescue and vessels equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Respond promptly to water-related incidents, providing rescue assistance as required. Providing emergency first aid to casualties who may have been submersed in water.
- Assist with safety briefings and ensure all personnel are aware of watersafety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of daily risk assessments , incidents forms and equipment inspections.
- Work alongside other companies and assist with water related jobs
Qualifications
- RYA Powerboat Level 2 with Commercial Endorsement and/or
- Be willing to obtain a 3 Day First Aid at Work
- Clean UK Driving License
Extra:
- 8 hour minimum a day with paid lunch break
- Accommodation and food allowance provided for working away
- We expect you to attend a skills assessment day prior to commencing work
- Weekend, Bank holiday and night work paid at time and a half
Pay: £20.00 per hour
