A manufacturing company based in the heart of Barnsley town centre are looking for a Trainee Machine Operator to join their busy, friendly team on an ongoing basis, with immediate starts.
This will be a varied Machine Operator role, involving training in all aspects of the factory. You will be training in different types of machinery such as roller press, manual press and kiss-cut machines. Any experience in a Machine Operator, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative or similar role would be beneficial, however if you have a great work ethic and you’re keen to develop please get in touch.
Pay Rate:
Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 6am – 2pm and 1.30pm – 9.45pm
- Rotating shifts
Contract:
Duties of a Machine Operator:
- Use of different machinery such as roller press machine, manual press machines, LC machines and Kiss-Cut machines.
- Replenishment and feeding of materials onto various machinery.
- Quality checking of finished parts
- Counting up produced goods and completion of paperwork.
- Various other duties when needed
Machine Operator Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role or machine operating would be a benefit (i.e. Machine Operator, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative)
- Must have a positive attitude to work, good attention to detail and the ability to work with various production equipment.
- Ability to meet targets and work to deadlines
