Maintenance Operative / Handyman (Multiple Supermarket Locations) - Tian Tian Market
Salary: £45,000 per year
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (with occasional overtime depending on business needs)
Location: Multiple supermarket sites (all conveniently located near major train stations)
About the Role
We are seeking a practical and reliable Maintenance Operative / Handyman to support several of our supermarket locations. All sites are easily accessible via nearby train stations, making travel between locations straightforward.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering general maintenance, refrigeration checks, and day-to-day repairs to help keep our stores running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance on supermarket equipment, including refrigeration units and fridges
- Assist with basic air conditioning checks and upkeep
- General handyman duties across multiple sites (repairs, minor installations, fixes)
- Cleaning and dusting of technical areas (vents, units, plant rooms, etc.)
- Respond to maintenance issues and urgent breakdowns when required
- Identify and report larger faults requiring specialist contractors
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health & safety standards
About You
- Experience in a maintenance, handyman, facilities, or building services role
- Basic understanding of refrigeration or air conditioning systems is an advantage
- Comfortable working across multiple locations
- Practical, hands-on, and confident using tools
- Reliable, flexible, and able to manage changing priorities
- Able to work independently and take responsibility on site
