We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our criminal defence legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to solicitors and legal representatives, ensuring smooth and efficient legal operations. Your organisational skills will help manage case files, coordinate schedules, and facilitate communication with clients. Wage is negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organise legal documents, case files, and correspondence with precision and confidentiality.
- Schedule appointments, court dates and meetings.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal letters and any other correspondence.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and maintaining positive relationships.
- Maintain calendar deadlines for filings, court appearances, and other critical dates to ensure timely submissions.
- Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing systems, and managing office supplies to keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated analysis skills to interpret legal documents and extract relevant information efficiently.
- Proven customer service experience with a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and team members.
- Previous administrative experience in a legal or professional setting is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressured and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear correspondence.
