E2E
Enabling Extraordinary Entrepreneurship
Sales Associate
Reports to: Shalini Khemka CBE, Chief Executive Officer
Location: E2E HQ, London, this is an office-based role
Works closely with: Chief Executive Officer, Partnerships Manager, Events & Marketing Manager and wider E2E team
About E2E
E2E is the exchange for extraordinary entrepreneurship. We have connected more than 24,000 entrepreneurs, investors, experienced non-executives, business leaders and government influencers, helping to support the growth of ambitious UK businesses.
This role offers the chance to build a sales career while working alongside founders, investors and senior business leaders every day.
The Role
We are looking for an energetic, personable and driven Sales Associate to grow E2E membership and help build our commercial pipeline.
The primary focus will be identifying and contacting prospective members, opening conversations, booking meetings and moving opportunities through to close. You will spend a large part of your week on the phone and on email, speaking to founders and business leaders who have not heard of us yet. Much of that will be inviting people to our events, which is often how a member first meets us.
You will also help maintain our CRM, follow up on leads generated through events and marketing, and support the wider team in converting interest into membership and sponsorship.
This role would suit an ambitious graduate or early-career professional who enjoys talking to people, is not put off by rejection, and wants to learn how a business actually grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and build lists of prospective members, sponsors and partners.
- Make outbound calls to prospects daily, introducing E2E and qualifying their interest.
- Call prospects who do not yet know E2E to invite them to our events, and follow up to confirm attendance.
- Write and send outreach emails and LinkedIn messages that get replies.
- Book meetings and calls for senior colleagues, and prepare them with useful background on the prospect.
- Follow up on leads generated at events, through the website and through marketing campaigns.
- Keep the CRM accurate and up to date, logging every call, email and next step.
- Track your own pipeline and report on activity, conversations and conversions each week.
- Spot new opportunities in the market, including sectors, sponsors and partners we should be talking to.
- Attend E2E events, meet members and prospects in person, and follow up afterwards.
- Support the team with proposals, membership packs and follow-up materials.
- Share what you are hearing from the market so we can improve how we sell.
Skills and Experience
- Confident on the phone and comfortable calling people who are not expecting to hear from you.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to write a clear, persuasive email.
- Warm, personable and quick to build rapport with people at all levels.
- Resilient and self-motivated, able to handle rejection and keep going.
- Organised, with the discipline to keep records accurate and follow up on time.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to research prospects and draft outreach at speed.
- Confident with CRM systems, LinkedIn and Microsoft Office, or quick to learn them.
- An interest in entrepreneurship, business and how companies grow.
- Previous experience in sales, recruitment, telesales, hospitality or customer-facing work would be helpful, although strong graduate candidates will also be considered.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone bubbly, proactive and hungry to learn. You should enjoy talking to strangers, asking good questions and finding the opening in a conversation.
You will be confident representing E2E to founders, investors and senior business leaders, and comfortable attending events in person, including some evenings.
This is a junior position. We care more about energy, attitude and appetite than a long CV. If you are willing to pick up the phone and learn fast, we will teach you the rest.
This role offers real exposure to entrepreneurs, investors and corporate partners, with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and ownership of accounts as your experience develops.
What Success Looks Like
- A consistent volume of outbound calls and emails goes out every week.
- Meetings are booked with the right prospects, and senior colleagues arrive prepared.
- Events are filled with the right people, including new faces brought in from outbound calling.
- New members and sponsors are signed, and pipeline grows month on month.
- Every lead is followed up promptly, and nothing is lost through the cracks.
- The CRM gives an accurate picture of the pipeline at any moment.
- New opportunities and market insights are brought to the team, not waited for.
