We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team at our Before & After-School Club and Holiday Club. As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children to play and learn.
Candidates must have a natural rapport with children and a hardworking friendly nature. Ideally have a relevant Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) or above, preferably in Playwork.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise children during playtime activities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Maintain a clean and organised play area
- Communicate effectively with the Session Coordinator
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive environment
- Assist with meal/snack time and mealtime routines
- Provide guidance and support to children as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and engage children in activities
- Experience working with children 4 - 11 years
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Hours:
Before school club 7:30 am - 9 am / After school club 3 pm - 5:30 or 6 pm / Holiday club hours vary over 3 - 4 days.
