Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Bus Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities. This role offers an opportunity to serve the community while ensuring passenger safety and comfort. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience in commercial driving. A valid driver’s licence with Category D entitlement is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses on designated routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and management
- Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and providing information as needed
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks or report issues promptly to the maintenance team
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure environment for passengers and staff
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence with Category D entitlement with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a bus driver
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively
