We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Twilight night Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between care locations. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the healthcare sector and contribute meaningfully to patient care.
Duties
- Assist with daily personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support patients with mobility and movement, ensuring safety at all times
- Help in implementing and updating individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
- Assist with medication administration as per prescribed instructions
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery
- Support the organisation of activities and social engagement for residents in care homes or clients receiving home care
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping purposes
- Driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between different care settings
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
