Are you a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant or Learning Support professional looking to make a real difference?
We are recruiting for a Learning & Pastoral Support Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs in a nurturing specialist school environment.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small-group academic and pastoral support.
- Build positive relationships and promote confidence and independence.
- Support behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.
- Assist with personalised learning, EHCP targets and progress monitoring.
- Work closely with teachers, families and other professionals.
- Support pupils during lessons, activities and educational visits.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be patient, empathetic and adaptable, with experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, de-escalation and behaviour support would be beneficial.
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent Level 2 qualification) required. Enhanced DBS required.
