Job Introduction
Pay rate: £14 per hour flat rate - Weekly or Monthly pay available
Shift pattern: Waking Nights - 20:00pm - 6:00am
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Female Support Worker to support a young child with complex medical needs at nursery during the day and at home overnight.
You will be supporting a delightful young child who enjoys interaction and play. Your role will focus on ensuring his safety, promoting development, and supporting his medical and communication needs.
The individual has the following diagnoses and care requirements:

Pierre Robin Syndrome
-
Cleft Palate (surgically repaired)
-
Micrognathia
-
GORD (reflux)
-
Tracheomalacia
-
Talipes
He has:
-
Tracheostomy
-
PEG feeding tube (also now eats orally)
-
Maintain airway safety through:
-
Suctioning
-
Nebuliser administration
-
Tracheostomy care
-
Provide overnight monitoring and support
-
Assist with PEG feeding where required
-
Encourage oral intake (as appropriate)
-
Support communication using Makaton
-
Assist with posture using specialist postural aids
-
Engage in safe, stimulating play and interaction
-
Provide attentive supervision at nursery and at home
-
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with family and professionals
