Role Purpose
Temp All Staffing is recruiting an experienced Deputy Manager for a key contract position. This role co-ordinates and supports the day-to-day operational delivery of adult care services, including Community Resource Centres, In-House Home Care, Extra Care Services, or Day Services. You will manage or supervise an operational care team delivering high-quality care to individuals with varying complex needs, including dementia, physical and learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and sensory impairments.
Accountabilities
- Management Support: Assist the Registered Manager to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
- Care Monitoring: Assess and monitor care provision in accordance with individual Care Act assessments to maximise independence.
- Staff Deployment: Oversee daily staff scheduling and job allocation to ensure safe service delivery in line with CQC standards.
- Team Supervision: Manage an operational care team, leading on recruitment, induction, training, and performance management.
- Risk Assessments: Complete and monitor risk assessments to ensure the safety of staff and service users.
- Auditable Records: Ensure accurate care records, incident reports, and wellbeing logs are rigorously maintained.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor service provision and provide data reports on outcomes against targets to inform improvements.
- Safeguarding: Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate referrals directly to the Registered Manager.
- Service Improvement: Propose and implement practical changes to current working methods to boost setting effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain professional relationships with social workers, housing teams, healthcare professionals, and families.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
- Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent certification.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of CQC standards, legislation, and compliance requirements for adult care.
- Sector Experience: Proven experience working in a health or social care setting at a supervisory level.
- Team Leadership: Experience supervising a team and resourcing staff against fluctuating daily demands.
- Organisation: Ability to plan, co-ordinate, and run the daily activities of a busy care team.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex procedural information clearly and give expert guidance to staff.

- Budget: Responsible for managing designated local/operational budgets.
- Planning: Manages shift patterns and operational planning over days, weeks, and short-term future horizons.
