Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paint sprayer to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint using airless spray equipment to steel sections & fabrications. This is a full-time position in a factory setting, requiring knowledge of single & 2 pack epoxy paints and finishings, experience with intumescent paint would be prefered.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and priming as necessary
- Mix paints and apply to specific DFT specifications
- Apply paint or other finishes using spray equipment and rollers.
- Ensure proper coverage and smooth finish on all painted surfaces
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment
- Maintain inventory of painting supplies and request replenishment as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a spray Painter or similar role, fire protection experience would be an advantage.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for surface preparation
- Knowledge of basic mechanical principles for equipment maintenance
- Ability to mix paints and follow mixing ratio's
- Familiarity with different types of paint finishes and their applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks within specified timeframes
