We are seeking to employ an apprentice care assistant, this post would suit a school leaver, so we can support through the apprenticeship period.
For this role you will be required to assist our elderly residents with all aspects of their personal care and day to day living requirements, as well as other duties outlined in the job description. You will also work alongside the activities coordinator to provide a range of exciting and stimulating activities, such as art therapy, gardening and chaperoning trips out. There will also be some cleaning and light cooking duties.
No experience necessary as full training and ongoing support is given. You will first be supported to gain the care certificate, as well as support to complete all mandatory training that accompanies this. You will then be signed on to the apprenticeship programme to gain a health and social care qualification. These apprenticeships prepare learners for a variety of careers in a care environment. Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to gain a nationally recognised qualification and valuable skills whilst working. The length of the apprenticeship varies but once commenced you will be contracted for the length of the apprenticeship, with the potential for a permanent role upon completion.
