MacRail is looking for dependable and proactive Control Centre Operators to join our team on a 0-hour contract, providing holiday and absence cover within our busy Control Room.
As part of the role, you'll play an important part in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of our services by monitoring systems, coordinating communications, and responding to operational incidents. Every shift helps keep critical rail and infrastructure projects running safely and smoothly.

What you'll be doing:
- Monitoring live operational systems and responding to alerts.
- Logging site activity accurately and maintaining detailed records.
- Coordinating communication between field teams and key stakeholders.
- Responding promptly to incidents and escalating issues where required.
- Supporting the safe, efficient day-to-day operation of the Control Room.
What we're looking for:
- A reliable, organised, and professional approach.
- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using IT systems and navigating multiple applications.
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Previous experience in a control room, monitoring, security, or similar operational environment is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
