Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Kitchen Team Member to join the Higher Farm Ketchup manufacturing team. This role involves supporting the daily operations of our food production facility, ensuring that products meet high standards of quality and safety. It is a very small team of just two people producing our natural beetroot ketchup.
The production runs 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
Prior experience in food production is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right applicant. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food safety and manufacturing to develop their skills within a reputable organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of ketchup in accordance with company standards and HACCP protocols
- Operate and monitor production equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operation throughout shifts
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Conduct routine quality checks on products, recording data accurately
- Support cleaning and sanitising procedures across the production area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Follow detailed instructions for ingredient measurements, using basic maths skills to ensure accurate quantities are used
- Assist with inventory management by recording stock levels and reporting shortages or issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards
Skills
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is highly desirable
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing environments is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with industrial equipment can be advantageous for troubleshooting minor issues
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality in product output
- Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately and recording data effectively
- Ability to work efficiently within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report any concerns promptly
