As we take over the management of St Agnes Lodge, we are looking for an ambitious and passionate leader to become the operational lead within our specialist residential service.

You’ll work alongside an experienced CQC Registered Manager who will provide mentoring, guidance and oversight as you develop into a future Registered Manager.

About the Service
St Agnes Lodge is a 6-bed residential care home supporting adults aged 18–65 with:
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Mental Health needs
* Dual Diagnosis
* Behaviour That Challenges
Our aim is to provide a safe, structured and therapeutic environment where people are supported to develop independence, confidence and meaningful lives.
The Opportunity
As the operational lead within the home, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the service, leading the staff team and ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centred care.
Although the service has an experienced Registered/ Operations Manager, they will be providing strategic oversight while leading wider organisational projects. They will remain actively involved with St Agnes Lodge, spending approximately 2–3 days each month in the service to provide support, supervision and mentoring.
This means you’ll gain genuine management experience while receiving the support needed to progress towards becoming a Registered Manager in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
* Lead and inspire the day-to-day operation of the home.
* Create a positive, supportive and accountable culture.
* Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to the staff team.
* Ensure effective communication with residents, families and professionals.
Care & Support
* Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
* Oversee care planning, risk assessments and support plans.
* Promote independence, dignity, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
* Support residents to achieve their personal goals.
Quality & Compliance
* Maintain high standards of care in line with CQC Fundamental Standards.
* Complete audits and quality assurance checks.
* Ensure accurate records and documentation are maintained.
* Promote safeguarding, health & safety and best practice.
Staff Development
* Support recruitment, induction and training.
* Carry out supervision and performance reviews.
* Develop a motivated, skilled and engaged team.
Service Performance
* Help maintain strong occupancy levels through positive relationships with commissioners and local authorities.
* Support continuous improvement across the service.
* Contribute towards achieving GOOD and OUTSTANDING standards.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is ready for their next challenge.
You may currently be working as a:
* Team Leader
* Deputy Manager
* Care Manager
* Senior Support Worker with management responsibilities
Most importantly, you’ll be someone with ambition, resilience and a genuine passion for leading others and improving people’s lives.
Essential
* Experience leading teams within adult social care.
* Experience supporting adults with Autism, Mental Health, Dual Diagnosis and/or Behaviour That Challenges.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care.
* Ambition to become a Registered Manager.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Health & Social Care (minimum).
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management is desirable but not essential.
* Willingness to work towards a Level 5 qualification with full support from Liberty Trail Homes.
