Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- A passion for cooking and creating exceptional meals that delight customers.
- Culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not essential.
