Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/Warehouse Person to join our team. This role involves delivering goods to various locations, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring efficient logistics. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, warehouse experience, and excellent communication abilities to provide outstanding service and support within our organisation.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver products to clients and suppliers in a timely manner
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Assist with warehouse organisation, including stock management, inventory checks, and organising shipments
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or any delays
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during deliveries and warehouse activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence or equivalent with a clean driving record
- Previous warehouse experience is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory management
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing schedules or routes
