Deputy Security Manager – Birmingham Events & Venue Operations
£17.00 per hour | 30+ Hours Per Week | Multiple Positions Available
Bridgegate Security is recruiting several experienced Deputy Security Managers to support the operation of one of Birmingham's most exciting large-scale event venues.
This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team of a major venue that will host live entertainment, sporting events, club nights, private functions, and large-scale public events throughout the year.
Due to the scale of the operation, we are seeking multiple Deputy Security Managers to oversee key areas of the venue and support the delivery of safe, professional, and well-managed events.
The Role
Working alongside the Security Manager, you will take responsibility for a designated area of the venue, leading security teams, maintaining standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of events.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong decision-making, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage large teams within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading security operations within your designated area of the venue
- Managing teams of Door Supervisors, Head Door Supervisors, and event security personnel
- Conducting staff briefings and overseeing deployments
- Maintaining high standards of professionalism, customer service, and compliance
- Managing incidents and ensuring accurate reporting
- Working closely with venue management and the wider security leadership team
- Monitoring staffing levels, welfare, and operational effectiveness during events
- Supporting the training and development of security personnel
What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (essential)
- Previous experience as a Head Door Supervisor, Security Manager, Deputy Security Manager, Event Supervisor, or similar leadership role
- Experience managing teams within busy venues, events, or licensed premises
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Professional and confident approach to operational management
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure
- Strong understanding of venue and event security operations
