The Role
As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and commissioning of a wide range of fire and security systems. You will work independently and as part of a team, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault finding of: Fire Detection & Alarm Systems Intruder Alarm Systems CCTV Systems Access Control Systems Emergency Lighting Systems Commissioning of new installations.
Diagnosing and resolving system faults efficiently.
Completing electronic service reports and documentation accurately. Ensuring compliance with relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
Providing technical advice and support to customers when required.
Participating in the company call-out rota.
Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a professional standard.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Proven experience working within the Fire & Security industry.
Strong knowledge of fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
Experience servicing and fault finding on a range of manufacturers' equipment.
Good understanding of relevant British Standards including BS 5839.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Desirable
FIA qualifications.
ECS/CSCS
Card.IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
Experience with manufacturers such as Paxton, Texecom, Hikvision, Dahua, Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, and Aico.
Knowledge of SSAIB and BAFE requirements.
