RoseDowns are seeking a confident and detail focused HR Administrator to join our HR team and provide essential first line support across our Hull site for circa 105 employees.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with HR admin experience who enjoys a varied role, working closely with managers and employees, and supporting the full employee lifecycle. You will report directly to the HR Manager and play an important part in ensuring smooth HR operations across the business.
About the Role
As our HR Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering efficient, accurate and timely HR administration. Your day to day duties will include:
General HR Administration
- Maintaining employee records and HR databases
- Preparing new starter, contractual change and leaver documentation
- Managing HR trackers and routine reports (absence, overtime, headcount, holidays etc.)
Absence & Sickness Management
- Acting as first point of contact for day to day absence queries
- Updating absence systems and monitoring short and long term absence
- Supporting managers to follow required processes
- Creating formal absence meeting packs
Payroll Support
- Running the monthly payroll in partnership with HR Manager and Finance
- Ensuring accurate data entry and supporting payroll administration
Time & Attendance Systems
- Maintaining the time management system (attendance, overtime, holidays)
- Supporting employees and managers with system queries
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Advertising vacancies, screening CVs, scheduling interviews
- Preparing interview packs and coordinating candidate communication
- Supporting onboarding, right to work checks, inductions and probation tracking
HR Meeting Support
- Taking confidential minutes in welfare meetings, disciplinaries, investigations and grievances
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- CIPD Level 3 - please do not apply unless you have this already or are currently nearing completion.
- Experience in HR administration
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Good understanding of HR processes and basic UK employment law
- Strong communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Desirable
- Experience processing payroll
- Experience with an HRMS such as Workday or SuccessFactors
- Experience working with time & attendance systems
- HR experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
