Maintech Power is a High Voltage (HV) installation and maintenance specialist who provide a true turnkey service that covers and optimises High Voltage infrastructure’s entire lifecycle.
Role Overview
The HV Maintenance Operations Coordinator plays a key role in the safe, efficient and commercially effective delivery of Maintech's maintenance services.
Working closely with the Head of Operations (Maintenance), clients, engineers, contractors and suppliers, you will coordinate maintenance programmes, technical documentation, reporting and remedial actions across a portfolio of HV assets and private networks.
This is not a general administration role. Whilst you are not required to be an engineer or Senior Authorised Person, you will need sufficient technical understanding to work confidently with maintenance schedules, asset information, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), RAMS, maintenance reports, oil sampling results and remedial recommendations.
You will act as the operational link between customers and our engineering teams, ensuring maintenance activities are planned, documented, communicated and tracked effectively whilst identifying and escalating technical, commercial or safety-critical issues where required.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Operational Coordination
- Own and maintain the programme of contracted, statutory, planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate engineers, contractors, customers and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of maintenance services.
- Monitor maintenance schedules, service levels, outstanding actions and operational risks using company systems and trackers.
- Manage changing priorities and reactive works while maintaining customer commitments and compliance requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for customer maintenance enquiries and operational updates.
Technical Documentation & Job Pack Management
- Coordinate, compile and quality-check maintenance job packs prior to issue.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is available, including approved RAMS, SLDs, task instructions, site information, permits, access arrangements and customer requirements.
- Identify missing, incomplete or conflicting information and escalate appropriately.
- Maintain document control standards and ensure current revisions of maintenance documentation are used.
- Support engineers and operational teams in ensuring maintenance records remain accurate and audit-ready.
Maintenance Reporting & Remedial Works
- Review completed maintenance reports for accuracy, completeness and quality prior to issue.
- Ensure engineering reports, photographs, test results and supporting documents are received and filed correctly.
- Log, track and monitor remedial works identified through inspections and maintenance activities.
- Liaise with operational and commercial teams to ensure customer quotations, follow-up actions and corrective works are progressed.
- Escalate urgent or safety-critical findings immediately to the appropriate engineer or manager.
Asset Data, Systems & Compliance
- Maintain accurate asset registers, maintenance histories, customer portals and document management systems.
- Support the integrity of maintenance records, drawings and operational data.
- Assist with monthly maintenance performance reporting and KPI tracking.
- Produce reports and operational information to support management decision-making.
- Ensure maintenance data is recorded consistently and in accordance with company procedures.
Oil Sampling & Specialist Testing Coordination
- Coordinate transformer oil sampling and specialist testing activities with approved suppliers.
- Track sample schedules, results and reporting deadlines.
- Verify reports have been completed correctly and contain the required information prior to issue.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is stored within agreed timescales.
- Escalate abnormal findings or concerns to the responsible engineer for technical review.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, engineers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide professional and proactive communication throughout maintenance activities.
- Manage customer expectations through accurate information, timely updates and clear communication.
- Support customer satisfaction through reliable coordination and ownership of actions.
Health, Safety & Risk Awareness
- Support compliance with company Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Ensure maintenance activities are supported by the correct documentation and records.
- Challenge activities where information, approvals or documentation are incomplete.
- Escalate safety, operational, commercial or reputational risks promptly.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience within an engineering, utilities, power, industrial maintenance, facilities, technical services or similarly operational environment.
- Experience coordinating planned and reactive workstreams involving engineers, contractors or field-based personnel.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with technical documentation, reports, drawings, asset records or controlled documentation.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical terminology and maintenance information.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, document management systems and operational tracking systems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment where priorities can change quickly.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience within the HV, electrical, utilities, industrial maintenance or infrastructure sectors.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance programmes and statutory inspection requirements.
- Familiarity with RAMS, permits, engineering drawings, asset registers and maintenance reports.
- Experience coordinating specialist testing activities or technical subcontractors.
- Experience using maintenance management, asset management or field service systems.
- Exposure to KPI reporting and performance monitoring.
- Relevant technical qualification, apprenticeship, IOSH certification or equivalent industry training.
