Experienced Automotive Service Advisor Walkers Motor Group – Selby, North Yorkshire

Walkers Motor Group is a long-established, family-owned dealership group representing leading automotive brands. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy Aftersales team at our Selby dealership.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor looking to join a professional, customer-focused business where customer satisfaction and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while managing the service journey from booking through to vehicle handover.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers and discussing their vehicle requirements.
- Booking service, maintenance, MOT and repair work.
- Preparing accurate repair orders using CDK Drive (Kerridge).
- Liaising with workshop controllers and technicians throughout the day.
- Providing customers with progress updates and obtaining authority for additional work.
- Explaining completed work and presenting invoices.
- Promoting manufacturer service plans and aftersales products where appropriate.
- Maintaining manufacturer standards and delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Managing warranty and service documentation accurately.
- Working towards departmental customer satisfaction and performance targets.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor.
- Experience using CDK Drive (Kerridge) or another Dealer Management System.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- A professional and positive attitude.
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience with Vauxhall, Peugeot, Stellantis or another franchised dealership would be advantageous but is not essential.
