The Role
Based at The Mill at our Poston Mill Touring & Holiday Home Park in Peterchurch near Hereford and reporting to the Park Managers we are looking for an enthusiastic Chef who takes pride in delivering great food and customer service. This is a part-time role on a casual contract to support the team preparing and presenting high quality food for pub and restaurant customers. The hours are flexible but will involve evening and weekend working.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role.
Preferred Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications-Education*/ Experience / Personal Attributes
- Experience in a similar role such as a pub, restaurant or similar hospitality environment..
- Demonstrate good verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate as a minimum but preferred Level 3.
- Awareness of health and safety requirement within a commercial kitchen.
- Knowledge of food storage, stock rotation and waste management practices.
- Excellent kitchen cleaning standards and infection control procedures.
- Professional cookery qualification desired.
- Allergen awareness training.
- Thorough and organised with good attention to detail.
- Be able to work confidently on your own as required.
- Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and flexible approach to work
