Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Wigton, Carlisle, CA7
Pay: £13.20 to £13.75 per hour
Contract: 36 hours - Full-Time (Permanent)
Shift Pattern: our rota operates on a monthly rolling basis
- 23.00-12.00 - Sleeping nights paid at £76 (fixed payment from 11pm to 7am)
- 09.30-17.30
- 16.00-22.00
About the Person You'll Be Supporting
You'll be supporting a 82 year-old lady who lives independently in the Wigton area. She enjoys listening to music through Alexa, watching television, staff reading to her, and getting out into the community for walks in her wheelchair.
Building a trusting, positive relationship is important to her, and she values support from someone who is kind, patient and respectful. She wishes to feel safe, comfortable and well-supported both in her home and when accessing her local community.
Your role will include providing person-centred support with:
- Personal care
- Medication administration and support
- Moving and Handling and use of a ceiling track hoist
- Community access and accompanying her on outings
- Promoting her independence, wellbeing and quality of life
We're looking for someone with a warm, compassionate and calming nature who can provide reassurance, build trust and deliver high-quality, person-centred support. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to make a difference will be key to succeeding in this role.
